Living in Southwick

Just five miles from Brighton, Southwick is a charming little town that was first recorded as a village in 1309. And it has retained its village feel, with a green in the centre which is used as a cricket pitch and as the location for fairs in the summer. Southwick has a traditional high street too, with a butcher, bakery and greengrocer’s (but no candlestick maker that we know of). Residents praise the close-knit feel of the town – so if you’re looking to settle in a place with a real sense of community, Southwick is the pearfect choice.
